ProTec Nitrox
The enriched air, nitrox, is a gas mixture that has an increased oxygen level when compared to ordinary air.
In other words, this mixture prolongs the non-deco time underwater and it gives the diver more reserves and safety with decompression issues. Of course there are still other facts which are very important to know.
The ProTec Nitrox certification course is designed for students who want to master the theoretical part of gas mixture usage as well as learn the advantages of using Nitrox in practice. You will also learn how to plan safe dives with Nitrox using both tables and your underwater computer (decompression meter).
Diving with nitrox has a big number of advantages over diving with ordinary air, but at the same time ignorance of some details can lead to serious injuries.
Prerequisites
- The minimum age is 16 year old
- Very good diving knowledge (theoretical and practical) are essential and have to be proven before the practical training begins
- Medical statement
- ProTec 1* Diver certificate as well as skills such as the calculation of air consumption, detailed physics (partial pressure, gases)
