The ProTec Cave Rescue certification course provides you sufficient knowledge to properly handle emergency situations that can occur during diving in cave systems. You will explore the different types of rescue techniques and learn about the specifics of cave rescue situations.

In addition, you will be taught how to handle the oxygen systems sufficiently and be able to act effectively in an emergency. The specific knowledge of cave rescue techniques applied during this program will make you more confident diving in caves.

• Minimum age is 20 years old
• Advanced diving skills, which should be proved to the instructor
• Medical statement
• ProTec Full Cave certificate or equivalent. A sufficient practical cave diving experience is preferred
• 1st Aid and CPR (including AED Knowledge) application of a nationally recognized aid organization.
  Important! The certificate should not be older than 1 year

• ProTec Oxygen Provider certificate or equivalent is recommended

The ProTec Discover Cave certification course is not considered as sufficient preparation for all types of diving in caves, such as expedition dives etc. You will learn the basic principles of cave diving. Since cave diving is a very complex procedure divers need to make special preparations before they can start. You will have the opportunity to perfect your skills that you may have acquired during the Cavern Diving program. Additionally, you will also gain an overview of supplementary techniques and procedures that are used in the elementary cave diving.

Particular attention is paid to working with equipment, including lighting equipment, the use of equipment and the principles of redundancy and double security. A number of skills are first trained on land.
