ProTec Advanced Technical Wreck
Exchange your experience with technical wreck diving experts and broaden your horizons breaking the boundaries of the seemingly impossible.
The ProTec Advanced Technical Wreck certification course is a program designed for experienced wreck divers. After years of wreck diving and the completion of some special courses, you will have the chance to prove your experience within a workshop together with similar experienced technical wreck divers and other professionals in this diving range.
This program is exclusively targeted towards professionals in this special range. The term “Advanced” is used for this degree of high experience.
Prerequisites
- Minimum age is 21 years old
- Excellent diving skills
- Medical statement
- ProTec Technical Wreck Diver certificate or equivalent
- 3 additional special skills
for example: wreck survey/wreck status estimation, determine and restoring found pieces, underwater wreck photo & video, etc. - More than 50 ambitious wreck dives
Advanced Technical Wreck
Level 2 – 55,000 THB
8 Dives, Max depth 40 meters (subject to diver’s certification)
The Advanced Technical Wreck Level 1 Course is a full penetration course that will enable you to safely access the interior of shipwrecks. The course focuses on essential technical diving skills such as trim and buoyancy, proficiency in situational awareness, proper weighting and gas management.
Additionally, students will learn how to identify, locate and dive different types of shipwrecks. Students will practice tying in, throwing shot lines and emergency safety skills in an overhead environment.
During the course, students will gain experience and confidence in team diving with limited or zero visibility. There will also be elements of stress control and dealing with intensive task-loading situations.
Training is available in backgas, sidemount or CCR configurations.
Level 3 – 55,000 THB
The Advanced Technical Wreck Level 2 course continues building skills from Level 1 and introduces students to group hangs and decompression bars.
Training is available in backgas, sidemount, or CCR configurations.
8 Dives, Max depth 65 meters (subject to diver’s certification level)
Level 4 – 55,000 THB
The Advanced Technical Wreck Level 3 course continues building on skills learned in Levels 1&2 and students will be advanced wreck diving on expeditions to known marks.
Students will continue to practice and drill tying in, shot lines, and overhead environment safety skills, stress control and dealing with intensive task-loading situations.
Training is available in backgas, sidemount, or CCR configurations.
8 Dives, Max depth 80 meters (subject to diver’s certification level)
Prerequisites
Minimum 18 years old
At least 50 logged dives
Rescue Diver
Basic Deco
ProTec Wreck Diver or equivalent wreck diver certification
Complete SafeAir Diver or equivalent (i.e Advanced Nitrox)
Technical SafeAir Diver or equivalent (i.e Tech 45/DP)
